Xbox 360 Slim: Coming Any Time Soon?
Rumor has it that Microsoft is planning on coming out with a new design for the current Xbox 360. This new version will be the same in functions as the original model, but will be presented in a much smaller size. The guys over at Kotaku have gotten hold of a picture which shows that for the first time, the console will include the CPU and the GPU on the same chip, thus reducing the size.
I can understand why Microsoft has such an idea – to compete with the biggest rival: PS3 Slim. With Project Natal planned to release soon later this year, you can only imagine that the Xbox 360 Slim will also be released around the same time. In fact, there might be a new bundle in stores which feature the Xbox 360 Slim + Project Natal. Due to the slim version the cost will be reduced by a fraction, though not much can be said about that as of yet. And when Project Natal is added to the bundle, with whatever price Microsoft plans to retail it for, it seems that the cost will add up to be a little more that the Elite version of the Xbox 360 present today.
There can be many advantages and disadvantages that come with the new design but we will just have to wait and watch. Until then: Do you think this is just another rumor, or do you believe this will actually happen? Computer Repair,
